Welcome to the 9th Annual Civil Rights Conference!

Dear National Civil Rights Conference Planning Committee and Conference Participants:

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Eighth National Conference on Civil Rights. The Cities of Meridian and Philadelphia are proud to co-sponsor this informative and exciting conference and we appreciate your presence and participation in activities focusing on civil rights, social justice and human dignity.

The two and one-half-day conference provides us with a wide range of topics related to the conference theme, Rise, Advocate, Educate and Cooperate: Making A Way Out of No Way. We hope you will take full advantage of the workshops, artistic productions, sessions, tours, vendors and networking opportunities that will be available.

This conference, perhaps more than any other, provides a broad range of learning experiences for you to engage in. More important, this conference promises to generate considerable intellectual dialogue and debate, as well as create opportunities to strengthen existing networks and forge new ones.

Again, welcome to Mississippi’s Meridian and Philadelphia. If we can be of assistance to you, please do not hesitate to call on us.
